Extract from the Statutes and Articles § 1 Name - Legal Form - Seat (1) The Foundation shall be known as the "Peter Maffay Stiftung" (2) he Foundation shall be a foundation established under civil law and shall have legal capacity. It shall be subject to public supervision (3) The seat of the Foundation shall be in Tutzing § 2 Objective of the Foundation (1) The objective of the Foundation is to promote and provide education and training, art and culture, services for young people and old people under the public health system, and selfless support for persons who are dependent on others as a result of their physical, mental or emotional condition. The Foundation shall pursue this objective in particular by: · organizing holidays for needy children at home and abroad, · providing leisure facilities for needy artistes, especially musicians, · supporting children with Down's syndrome or Aids, · organizing symposia on topics relating to the interrelationship between music and medicine, partly in cooperation with the Tinnitus Foundation, Düsseldorf. (2) The Foundation shall exclusively and directly pursue objectives of a non-profitmaking and charitable character within the meaning of the section of the Tax Code on "Objectives entitled to tax relief". (3) The Foundation shall act in the interest of others and shall not pursue any profit-making purposes. (4) The funds of the Foundation shall be used solely for the purposes permitted under its Statutes and Articles. No person may benefit from expenditure unconnected with the objectives of the Foundation or from disproportionately high remuneration. (5) No one shall have any right to claim legal entitlement to services provided by the Foundation. The Peter Maffay Foundation was established in 2000 in Germany as a foundation under civil law with legal capacity and subject to public supervision and was approved by the supervisory authority of the Government of Upper Bavaria on August 14 2000 with the reference number 230-1222 STA 18. |
