The Peter Maffay Foundation was started in 2000 by its namesake Peter Maffay. The focus of its work lies in the north of the Balearic island of Mallorca, where the foundation centre was inaugurated in 2001 in the town of Pollença.
In 2003, the heart of the foundation was established with the Finca Ca’n Llompart, near Pollença. Each year, up to 300 children and young people can spend activity holidays together with their tutors on the finca. In doing so, they get to know the operation of the organic finca. They can participate in feeding the animals, watch the cheese production and help make home-made bread in the bakery close to the health food shop.
Our main target is to offer fresh courage and confidence to hurt souls, and we are convinced that nature with all its facets is the best therapist.
